Under the auspicious of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, and under the supervision and coordination of Prof. Dr. Affaf Al-Oufy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels organized a job fair in cooperation with the Egyptian Company for International Tourism Projects (Americana Egypt). The event targeted students and graduates from various departments and academic programs.

Prof. Dr. Dina Ezz El-Din, Acting Dean of the Faculty, stated that organizing this fair comes within the framework of the faculty’s commitment to supporting its students and graduates and preparing them for the labor market. This is achieved by offering distinguished employment and training opportunities within the company’s restaurant chains in Alexandria and the North Coast, contributing to the development of their practical skills and linking academic study with labor market needs. She also emphasized that the organization of such events reflects Alexandria University’s alignment with national directions toward connecting education with the labor market and implementing its strategy aimed at qualifying students and enhancing employment opportunities, in line with the policies of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Dr. Nermeen Abdel Hamid, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, also participated in the event, noting that the fair comes as part of the faculty’s efforts to open new horizons for its students and graduates. It provides direct training and employment opportunities while strengthening effective communication between academia and the business sector, thus enhancing graduates’ competencies and equipping them with the required skills.

The event was also attended by Dr. Jilan El-Demerdash, Head of the Hotel Studies Department; Dr. Hesham Dar, Coordinator of the “Restaurant Management and Operation – Dual Education” Program; and Mr. Mostafa Maher, Human Resources Representative of Americana in Alexandria. The fair witnessed significant turnout from students and graduates, featuring presentations on available job opportunities and application procedures, along with preliminary interviews for applicants. This aligns with the faculty’s direction toward strengthening partnerships with major institutions and companies in the tourism and hospitality sector.
