Alexandria University Student Represents Egypt in the "Mediterranean Futures" International Academic Program in Italy

Professor Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, congratulated Nadine Tmeish, a Computer and Communications Engineering student at the Faculty of Engineering, on her selection to participate in the 2nd Mediterranean Futures: Addressing Global Challenges program, organized by the Arab Mediterranean Campus in Italy from 19–30 July 2026. Selected through a highly competitive process involving more than 500 applicants, Nadine was among only 50 participants chosen and is the sole representative of Egyptian universities and Alexandria University.
Hosted in Rome and Venice by LUISS University and Ca' Foscari University of Venice, the program prepares future leaders through lectures, workshops, and field visits focused on international affairs, intercultural dialogue, and global challenges, including visits to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UNDP, and FAO.

Faculty of Science Concludes the 13th Student Conference on Research & Innovation and the 6th Graduate Studies Conference

The Faculty of Science at Alexandria University concluded the 13th Student Conference on Research & Innovation and the 6th Graduate Studies Conference, held under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University.
The conference featured outstanding student research through poster and oral presentations, alongside 118 innovative science projects presented by school students, highlighting the faculty's commitment to nurturing young scientific talent.
The event also included keynote lectures on quantum computing, artificial intelligence, leadership, and national values. At the closing ceremony, winners were honored with awards and prizes in recognition of their outstanding research and innovative projects.
Alexandria University Concludes International Network Security Training Program in Collaboration with CY Cergy Paris Université

As part of the academic cooperation agreement between Alexandria University and CY Cergy Paris Université (France), the Faculty of Engineering concluded the International Network Security Training Program, held from 13–22 July 2026 under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University.
The program was delivered by Dr. Mohamed Ali, faculty member at CY Tech – CY Cergy Paris Université, and combined lectures with hands-on training for students from the Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Artificial Intelligence programs.
The initiative reflects the strategic partnership between the two universities and Alexandria University's commitment to providing international training opportunities that enhance students' cybersecurity skills, strengthen their career readiness, and promote academic cooperation with French universities.
Acting President of Alexandria University Participates in Discussion of Study on Waterlase Technology in Dental Surgery

Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, participated in the defense and evaluation committee of a master’s thesis by researcher Karim Anwar Ahmed Nazmy at the Faculty of Dentistry, titled “Efficacy of Waterlase in the Removal of Impacted Mandibular Third Molars.” The discussion was attended by Dr. Mohamed Moataz Khamis, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, and several faculty members.
The study explored the use of Waterlase technology as a modern approach to the removal of impacted wisdom teeth, aiming to advance oral surgery and improve patients’ experience.
As part of the thesis outcomes, the researcher published a paper derived from the study in BMC Oral Health, an international journal specializing in oral health and dental research.
Dr. Abdel Hakim praised the study for its scientific and practical significance, emphasizing the university’s support for innovative medical research and modern technologies. He also highlighted the Faculty of Dentistry’s Clinical Dual Master’s Program in Laser Applications in Dentistry, offered in collaboration with the University of Barcelona, Spain.
Faculty of Medicine Organizes Comprehensive Medical Caravan for Elderly Residents

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Medicine organized a comprehensive medical caravan for elderly residents at Karim Elderly Care Home in Abu Youssef, Agami.
The caravan was conducted with the participation of the Faculties of Dentistry, Pharmacy and Nursing, the Medical Research Institute, and the High Institute of Public Health, in cooperation with Zahret El-Camellia Association and the university’s “Doctor for You” student family.
The caravan provided medical services to 133 cases across 10 medical specialties, with 22 specialized physicians and 21 students participating. Free medications were provided, while 5 cases were referred to the university hospitals for further examinations and necessary surgical interventions. The caravan also included health-awareness activities focusing on proper nutrition and the importance of regular medical follow-up for the elderly.
