Within the framework of the Egyptian state’s interest in health and sports, and under the auspices of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, and to complement the celebration held on the occasion of the International Day of Francophonie, Dr. Mohamed Bilal, Dean of the Faculty of Education in Abu Qir, and the Vice Deans of the Faculty, received on Sunday, March 20, 2022, Dr. Patrick Zono, Head of the Department of Public Health at Senghor University and his accompanying delegation and a number of Senghor University students, to spend a scientific, sports and entertainment day at the Faculty of Physical Education Abu Qir.

Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated the professors of the Faculty of Agriculture in El-Shatby, Dr. Marsa El-Souda, Dr. Ibrahim El-Sayed, and Dr. Sameh Awad, after receiving today the contracts for their winning projects within the initiative to link scientific research with industry, which is the appeal launched by the Academy of Scientific Research in July 2022, to find innovative applied scientific and technological solutions for the dairy sector.
Today, Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and Ms. Doaa Salima, Executive Director of the Center for Industrial Modernization, handed over the contracts for the three winning projects to the professors of the Faculty of Agriculture.
 
 
Dr. Muhammad Bahey El-Din, Dean of the College of Agriculture, indicated that these projects come within the framework of the strategy launched by Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, President of the University, with the need to benefit from the research outputs and projects of the university, develop the concept of knowledge-based industry and maximize the benefit of research to serve the community, explaining that cooperation With industry, support for innovation, innovators, and technological entrepreneurship comes at the top of the priorities of Alexandria University and Egypt's vision for development 2030, and he added that 3 research outputs submitted by the Faculty of Agriculture out of 8 at the level of the Republic were selected for those who have the ability to implement their projects with industrial partners according to specific criteria and a relevant time plan.
 
 
Main goals, in addition to creating permanent channels between the industry sector, universities and research centers to benefit from ideas and scientific research in solving the challenges facing various industrial sectors. And its products according to an innovative scientific methodology.

Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated Dr. Khaled Salah Mahmoud, Assistant Professor at the Department of Education at the Faculty of Education, on the occasion of winning the Appreciation Award for Advocacy and Islamic Jurisprudence for the year 2022 granted by the State Litigation Authority. At the authority’s headquarters, after announcing his winning of the award by the prize’s higher committee formed by the head of the State Affairs Authority, and the membership of Prof. Shawki Allam, Mufti of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, for his research presented entitled: “Facing Epidemics in Islamic Thought”, wishing He has more progress, success and payment.

In light of Alexandria University’s celebrations of the golden jubilee of the victories of the glorious October War,
The Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, organized a seminar entitled "The Heroics of the Egyptian Armed Forces during the Glorious October War." The guest speakers of the seminar were Major General Dr. Mohamed El-Soul, a historian, military analyst and lecturer at Egyptian universities, Major General Mahmoud Mohamed Abul-Maati, one of the heroes of the Deversoir Battle, and Major General Hassan Mohamed Nassar, one of the heroes of the Battles of Oyoun Musa.
 
 
The event was attended by Dr. Hani Khamis, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Naglaa Abou-Agag, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, Dr. Magdy Agamiya, General Coordinator of Student Activities, and a group of faculty members, students, and faculty employees.
 
 
 
In his speech, Dr. Hani Khamis stressed that the October War is a turning point in Egypt’s contemporary history because it restored hope in the souls of Egyptians, stressing that commemorating October calls for the values of loyalty and belonging in the souls of Egyptians. He indicated that the Egyptian state needs work, diligence, perseverance, and summoning the spirit of victory, adding that the faculty is keen to invite our heroes every year to draw lessons learned and teach our students the meanings of honour, pride and dignity, so that we may honour our heroes and remember our righteous martyrs.
 
 
 
Dr. Magdy Agamiya confirmed that the October War marked heroic acts from which the world learned the meanings of heroism, dignity, sacrifice, and redemption, pointing out that Egypt witnessed very difficult events, and she was able to overcome those difficulties with a high fighting spirit. He sent a message to the students to preserve their homeland, and not to be led by rumors aimed at destabilizing the country.
 
 
 
During the seminar, the heroes of the October War gave lectures recounting the stories, sacrifices, and memories of the War of Attrition and the glorious October War.

Dr. El-Sayed El-Saifi, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, inaugurated the charity bazaar organized by the faculty for students under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, and in cooperation with the Faculty's Alumni Association. Its activities will continue until December 20. The bazaar includes scientific and historical books, leather crafts, various handicrafts, and accessories sold at cost. The Dean of announced that the proceeds from the sale of these products will be donated to support the Fund for the Needy Students at the faculty.
 
Dr. Alaa El-Din El-Gharabawi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Ayman Ahmed Shteiwy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and faculty members participated in the inauguration.
