As part of Alexandria University’s commitment to strengthening students’ national awareness, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of the University, the Faculty of Education hosted an educational lecture organized by the Popular and Military Defense Forces under the title “The Egyptian State’s Vision on the Challenges Facing National Security.” The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Hassan Abdeen, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Salem Abdel Razek, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, faculty members, teaching assistants, and students of the faculty.

The lecture was delivered by Brigadier General Dr. Eng. Wael El-Abd, who highlighted the most pressing challenges facing Egypt’s national security, foremost among them the transboundary threats and their risks to the stability of the state. He stressed that addressing these challenges requires a comprehensive vision and integrated practical measures to enhance the state’s ability to safeguard its resources. He further outlined several key measures to confront such challenges, including: tightening border security, adopting a mindful approach to the repercussions of regional conflicts, monitoring the policies of major powers with expansionist tendencies, controlling migration flows, reinforcing development and asserting control over remote areas, raising public awareness to counter rumors and attempts to spread discontent, ensuring that every citizen holds a national ID card, in addition to continuously monitoring and analyzing local and international media trends.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Hassan Abdeen emphasized that such educational meetings contribute to raising students’ awareness of national issues and instilling in them a sense of belonging, enabling them to confront extremist ideologies and disinformation campaigns.

For his part, Colonel Mohamed Maher stated that the collaboration between the University and the Popular and Military Defense Forces seeks to build genuine awareness among students and connect them with national issues. He stressed that national security begins within universities, as they serve as beacons of knowledge and factories of future leaders.

The event concluded with a reaffirmation that safeguarding national security is a collective responsibility that requires societal awareness, institutional cooperation, and a spirit of teamwork to protect the homeland and secure its future.

Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Fine Arts organized a Portfolio event yesterday, Sunday, July 20, 2025, to showcase the graduation projects of the 2024/2025 class from the faculty's departments. The event aimed to provide employment and training opportunities for students from specialized companies in the labor market and sponsors of the event.

The event was attended by Dr. Nevin Gharib, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts; Dr. Amani Reda, Acting Vice Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Hesham Saudi, President of the Alexandria Engineers Syndicate; Dr. Hassan Wasfi, President of the Fine Artists Syndicate; a select group of faculty members from the Faculty of Fine Arts; participating students; and several private sector companies

In her speech, Dr. Nevin Gharib thanked the representatives of the companies and institutions participating in the Career Portfolio Fair for their effective role in providing job opportunities for the faculty's graduates and students. She emphasized that this forum, held for the first time, represents an important step toward strengthening the faculty's position and preparing its students for the local and global labor market by providing training opportunities and gaining practical experience. She added that Alexandria University, under the leadership of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, places great importance on expanding international partnerships by concluding agreements with global universities to enable its students to open up to labor markets at the local, regional, and international levels.

Dr. Amani Reda, Acting Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, emphasized the college's role in supporting students, noting that the faculty is not just a place of study, but an ongoing incubator for creativity and excellence. She highlighted the role of professors and faculty members in paving the way for students and providing them with real job opportunities within the professional community, emphasizing that this event is a new interactive and professional platform aimed at building real bridges between graduates and the labor market. At the end of her speech, she thanked the Rashid University administration for its continuous support. She also thanked the Fine Arts Sector for hosting and supporting the event, as well as all the participants, students, and event organizers.

Dr. Hesham Saoudi expressed his great happiness with the students' outstanding work, emphasizing that they are capable of building a promising professional future through direct communication with the companies participating in the event. He thanked the Dean of the faculty and the faculty members for their support of the students.

At the end of the meeting, the Dean and Vice Dean of the faculty honored the outstanding students and presented them with the Best Graduation Project Award, presented by the Rashid Foundation. Interviews were also held for the students with the participating companies.

As part of Alexandria University’s celebrations of the anniversary of the glorious October Victory, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Agriculture (Saba Pasha) organized a celebration entitled “October: Glory and Pride.”

The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Fattah Mahmoud, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Abbas, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Kamal Saqr, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.

The celebration was coordinated and organized by Prof. Dr. Iman Ayad, former Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, along with the Faculty’s Environmental Protection and Social Responsibility Team. The event witnessed wide participation from faculty members, assistant staff, administrators, students, and alumni, as well as a distinguished group of honored guests.

The ceremony hosted Egyptian war heroes Rear Admiral Nabil Abdel Wahab, hero of the Eilat Port Destruction Operation, and Major General Dr. Mohamed Nour El-Din, hero of the Kabrit Battle, with the participation of Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah, media advisor. The guests shared their memories of heroism and sacrifice during the October War and delivered inspiring messages to young people about patriotism, belonging, and dedication to the nation’s progress.

Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Rehab, former Dean of the Faculty and Advisor to the University President for African Affairs, praised the honorable national role of Egypt’s heroes, affirming that the sacrifices of the October generation will remain a lasting source of pride and inspiration for generations to come.

Dr. Ali Abdelmohsen, Acting Vice President of Alexandria University for Education and Student Affairs, witnessed Wednesday evening the inauguration ceremony of the Third International Conference on Pharmaceutical Sciences and Health Care 2024 - PHS, which is organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University, over the course of two days, October 23 and 24.
 
 
 
The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Hisham Saeed, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Hanan Geweli, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Yasser Refaat, former Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Wael Aql, President of Nile University, Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, President of Pharos University, Dr. Yasser El-Sonbaty, Vice President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, as well as a number of vice presidents of universities and faculty members of faculties of pharmacy in Egyptian and Arab universities.

During his speech, Dr. Ali Abdelmohsen stressed that Alexandria University pays great attention to scientific conferences that would improve the outputs of scientific research at Alexandria University, noting that the conference is one of the largest international conferences for pharmaceutical and health sciences held in Egypt, and is attended by major pharmaceutical and health sector companies, as it includes an elite group of researchers from Egypt and several Arab and foreign countries. He added that Alexandria University seeks to link the outputs of scientific research to industry through its interest in all related parties, supporting ideas and innovations and employing them to serve and develop the industrial sector within society. Dr. Abdelmohsen stressed that he hopes that the conference will come out with recommendations that contribute to supporting the sector and developing pharmaceutical education and pharmaceutical services, developing pharmaceutical industries and drug discovery research.

While Dr. Hanan Geweli, Dean of the Faculty, confirmed that this conference is one of the largest international conferences held in Egypt and the Middle East and aims to exchange ideas, share innovations, and present the latest scientific research in the field of pharmacy. It also aims to identify the most important growing health care needs in society, calling for coming out with distinguished recommendations and results to serve the pharmacy sector in Egypt and the Middle East.
 
 
 
Dr. Sherif Rostom, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, pointed out that the conference will be attended by a group of prominent speakers, scientists, industry leaders, researchers, businessmen and students. The conference program will witness 13 sessions including 35 scientific lectures and 3 workshops presented by 23 Egyptian scientists in addition to 15 international speakers from Algeria, Canada, China, the United States of America, France, the Netherlands, England, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar. It is worth noting that the conference witnessed the establishment of a distinguished exhibition that includes 20 of the largest pharmaceutical companies, healthcare providers, medical institutions and community partners.

Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, Dr. Ahmed Wahban, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, inaugurated the faculty's third employment forum yesterday. The forum was attended by Dr. Osama El-Adly, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Mohamed El-Khatib, Lecturer in Economics at the faculty, Executive Director of the Training and Qualification Unit for the Labor Market, and Forum Coordinator; a group of faculty members, support staff, bankers, and executives involved in entrepreneurship; numerous entrepreneurs, business owners, representatives of civil society organizations and the media; and hundreds of faculty graduates, researchers, and students.
 
 
 
This forum comes within the framework of Alexandria University's commitment in general, and the Faculty of Economics and Political Science in particular, to supporting graduates in the labor market and creating opportunities for them in light of the competitive environment.
 
 
 
Dr. Wahban explained that the forum included a series of lectures and workshops on its first day, while the second day included an exhibition. The graduates benefited from more than thirty organizations, including private companies, institutions, banks, research centers, the Information and Decision Support Center of the Cabinet, and numerous civil society organizations. Several introductory lectures were also organized on the various participating sectors, as well as lectures on career building and skill development. He highlighted the successes achieved by the forum over the past two years, including the communication between graduates, students, and stakeholders, which resulted in many graduates finding jobs in various sectors.
 
 
 
 
On the sidelines of the forum, several seminars and workshops were held in the college's conference hall, addressing important topics relevant to young people. The most prominent of these were an introductory seminar on banking, analytical skills and feasibility studies, data analysis, employment in digital manufacturing, combating digital drugs, banking and financial job requirements, and jobs in the political and media sectors.
